The method involves detecting characteristics of an object that is found in front of a motor vehicle (10), and exerting a jerk on a driver in dependent upon characteristics of the object, while the vehicle creates pitch. The object is provided as ahead driving vehicle, and the characteristics is provided as starting characteristics. Braking of the vehicle and releasing of a brake of the motor vehicle are implemented after starting of the vehicle for execution of jerk in the vehicle in an automatic manner, where the jerk is produced by a chassis (5). An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle that is provided with a recording device.
