Human-machine interface for supporting a pilot when taking off and landing an aircraft in low visibility

The interface has a scene layer representing an image of a real environment towards a flight path of a helicopter. The scene layer is formed as a three dimensional scene layer, which represents three dimensional temporally correct and position exact image of the real environment. A basis layer is provided as a graphics layer in the form of even basal plane, which symbolizes an idealized floor space. The basal plane is bordered by a plastic horizon and continuously updated with the momentary flight condition data and the momentary height above ground.
