Optical device comprising at least two sensors, method of implementing same

The device (1) has a sensor (2) i.e. monochrome sensor, and a sensor (3) i.e. polychrome sensor, for sensing images and observing a same scene (7) with different angular resolution, and an outlet medium (6) exploiting a final image. A controller (5) positions a central part of one image issued from the sensor (2) in a central zone of the final image. The controller positions a peripheral part of another image issued from the sensor in a peripheral zone of the final image. The controller has a numerical zoom to modify the size of the images. An independent claim is also included for a method for observing a scene using an optical imaging device.
