A flexible seal 1 comprises a generally planar base portion 2 in the form of an elongate strip having top and bottom edges 4, 6. A portion 8 extends from a side of the base portion to produce a seal, dividing a front face 5 into upper and lower portions. The upper portion comprises one or more rows of apertures 15, provided within a ribbed area. The ribs run substantially parallel to the top edge, and at least two ribs are provided between the top edge of the strip and the apertures. The seal prevents water passing down between an appliance such as a bath, shower or work surface, and a wall. The lower portion may be provided with a ribbed self-adhesive material and the apertures may be circular. Also claimed is a seal comprising ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) as a polymer carrier and zinc omadine and chloroxylenol as antimicrobials. |
