<p>Disclosed is a method and apparatus for controlling power distribution within a microgrid (1). The microgrid (1) comprises a power source module (2), a power storage module (6), and a plurality of load modules (12). The power storage module (6) is switchable between operating as a further power source and a power store. Each load module (12) is arranged so that it may receive power from the power source module (2) and the power storage module (6). The method comprises: assigning, to each load module (12), a priority value; receiving, by a microgrid management module (16), one or more signals, each signal specifying one or more operational parameters of one or more microgrid modules; and, for each load module (12), controlling, by the microgrid management module (16), a power supply to that load module (12) based upon its priority value the received one or more signals.</p> |
