The present invention relates to a self-lubricator and a control method thereof and, more specifically, relates to a self-lubricator and a control method thereof capable of providing a setting screen relevant to a lubrication through a touchscreen operated only during lubrication. The self-lubricator of the present invention comprises: the touchscreen disposed in the front of a body; a lubrication gun connected to a supply hose of a body; a fluid supply part to supply a fluid stored in a fluid tank to the lubrication gun; and a sensing part to generate a sense signal if a user is close to the touchscreen is sensed. When the sense signal is generated, a controller displays a setting screen for the lubrication by turning on the touchscreen, and after a payment for the lubrication and a setting for the lubrication through the setting screen is completed when a switch of the lubrication gun is operated, the controller controls the fluid supply part to supply the fluid to the lubrication gun, and turns off the touchscreen at the time of completing the lubrication. According to the present invention, the touchscreen is operated only if the user approaches the touchscreen and uses the same, such that the setting screen for the lubrication can be displayed on the touchscreen. |
