The present invention relates to a method for analyzing a gene mutation related to a risk of age-related macular degeneration using HRM, and more specifically, to a new analysis method for predicting the risk of age-related macular degeneration by analyzing with HRM assay whether or not the genotype of a base -625 number sequence of a promoter for the risk of age-related macular degeneration related HtraA1 gene is GG, GA, AA. The method for detecting the gene mutation related to age-related macular degeneration using HRM of the present invention can detect the gene mutation related to age-related macular degeneration in a rapid and accurate way, thus can be useful for diagnosis of age-related macular degeneration, prognosis, and estimation of treatment progress, etc.
