The device has a light source e.g. LED type, emitting a light beam comprising a set of light signals in the direction of an output block, where the output block comprises a stack of screens or optical systems (100). Each screen comprises an entry face (101) receiving the light signals and an exit face (102). The entry face and the exit face of each screen are joined by a top face (103) and a bottom face for defining a screen thickness between the top and the bottom faces. One of the screens comprises an optical pattern (104) produced in the screen thickness in question. An independent claim is also included for a screen for use in a lighting or signaling device.
