The carriage has a carrying structure on which a tow bar (8) is mounted to move between an inactive position and an active position in which a coupling unit is distant from the structure. Wheels (6) are mounted on the structure by a displacement device of the wheel between rotating positions. The device is actuated by displacement of the bar between the active and inactive positions. The bar places the wheels in the rotating positions when the bar is in the active and inactive positions. Track of the wheels in one of the rotating positions is larger than that in the other rotating position.
