<p>Device that comprises a slim fiber optic encapsulated in a ribbed polymeric micro structure with period ? and the manufacturing process thereof. The ribbed polymeric micro-structure produces a difference modulated in the refraction index over the slim fiber optic in such a manner that it acts as a conventional diffraction grid. The process for manufacturing the devices is based on the soft lithography technique, which is easy to perform, with a low cost, also providing the advantage that the used polymeric material is widely used in biological, optic, and microfluidic systems, thus it being highly integrated to this type of systems.</p> |
