摘要 A process and apparatus for the dehydrogenation of paraffins is presented. The process utilizes a reactor that includes a slower flow of catalyst through the reactor, with a counter current flow of gas through the catalyst bed. The catalyst is regenerated and distributed over the top of the catalyst bed, and travels through the bed with the aid of reactor internals to limit backmixing of the catalyst.

A reactor for the dehydrogenation of hydrocarbons comprising: a reactor shell having an upper region, a central region and a lower region, a catalyst inlet disposed in the upper region of the shell, a catalyst outlet disposed in the lower region of the shell, a reactor catalyst bed disposed in the central region, a process stream inlet disposed in the lower region of the shell, and a process stream outlet disposed in the upper region of the shell; and a set of reactor internals disposed within the central region of the shell, wherein the reactor internals for guiding the flow of catalyst in a downward direction, while limiting axial back-mixing of the catalyst, wherein the reactor internals comprise a plurality of layers of ribbons, wherein the ribbons arranged in an array of multiple ribbons forming each layer, and wherein each layer is rotated relative to an adjacent layer between 30° and 150°, and wherein each ribbon comprises a band that is spaced apart from a neighboring ribbon to form an opening between the bands.
