1. A nanoparticle-containing lubricating oil composition comprising a base oil, an oxygen-containing additive, a dispersing solvent, a viscosity index improver, and nanoparticles,
wherein the base oil is a poly-α-olefin and is contained in an amount of at least 50% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition, wherein the oxygen-containing additive is a fatty acid ester-based ashless friction modifier having hydroxyl groups and is contained in an amount ranging from 0.05 to 3% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition, wherein the dispersing solvent is contained in an amount of 0.5 to 10% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition and includes a nonionic surface active agent, wherein the viscosity index improver is contained in an amount ranging from 0.1 to 5% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition, wherein the nanoparticles consist essentially of diamond nanoparticles having a particle diameter of 3 to 5 nm and are contained in an amount ranging from 0.05 to 1% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition, and wherein the surface active agent includes polyoxyethylenealkyl ether in an amount ranging from 5 to 15%, and polyoxyethylenealkyletherphosphate in an amount ranging from 85 to 95%. |
