The invention relates to a contact spring protection apparatus for a circuit breaker. The invention protects a contact spring by assembling a contact spring guide onto the upper part of a movable contact of the circuit breaker with a cross bar. When a short-circuit takes place, arc thermal gas is blocked by contact spring guide not to make direct contact to the contact spring, thereby preventing the distortion of contact spring and improving the productivity of the contact spring protection apparatus for the circuit breaker. The circuit breaker, which blocks a circuit or open/shut a load in case of overload or short-circuit in the invention, includes: the movable contact (120) installed inside of a base (110); a cross bar (140) to rotate the movable contact (120) on the upper part of the movable contact (120); a contact spring (150) which presses the movable contact (120) to maintain the contact weight inside of the movable contact (120) under the current carrying condition; and a contact spring guide (200), which is installed to protect the contact spring (150) placed between the contact spring (150) and the movable contact (120). |
