Provided are a method to manufacture a copper nanowire, a copper nanowire manufactured thereby, an ink composition, and a method to manufacture a transparent conductive film. According to the present invention, the method to manufacture a copper nanowire comprises: a step of manufacturing a mixed solution by adding cupric chloride, a reducing agent, and a copper capping agent into distillated water; a step of manufacturing a reaction solution wherein a copper nanowire is formed by reacting with the mixed solution placed in a normal or high pressure reactor at 80-120°C for 6-24 hours; and a step of obtaining the copper nanowire by cooling and purifying the reaction solution. The present invention can manufacture the copper nanowire with a simple manufacturing process and with low manufacturing costs using the cupric chloride and the distillated water; thereby manufacture the transparent conductive film with improved efficiency.
