METHOD FOR SCREENING THERAPEUTIC AGENT OF LIVER CANCER BY INDUCING HBX DEGRADATION VIA STABILIZATION OF MARCH5 EXPRESSION

The present invention relates to a method for screening a therapeutic agent for treating liver cancer by inducing the degradation of a hepatitis B virus X protein (HBx) via stabilization of Mitochondrial E3 Ubiquitin Ligase (MARCH5) expression. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of: (1) building a liver cancer strain capable of expressing Mitochondrial E3 Ubiquitin Ligase (MARCH5); (2) contacting a test substance on a liver cancer cell strain established in the step (1) and measuring an expression level of MARCH5; (3) expressing a hepatitis B virus X protein (HBx) on the liver cell strain established in the step (1) and measuring an expression level of MARCH5; and (4) selecting a test substance showing a higher MARCH5 expression level, which is measured in the step (2), than that of a control group, wherein the expression level of MARCH5, which is measured in the step (3), becomes a control group.
