The present invention relates to a snow detection sensor of an air conditioner. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the air conditioner comprises: an inner unit; an outer unit having an outer fan; a sensor unit provided in an upper portion of the outer unit and detecting snow deposited on the outer unit; and a control unit determining whether or not snow is deposited based on the output of the sensor unit and controlling the drive of the outer fan in order to remove the deposited snow when snow is detected, wherein the sensor unit includes a light sensor and a temperature sensor.
