The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device and a method of fabricating the same, and more specifically, to a liquid crystal display device in a thin-film transistor on color filter (TFT on Color Filter; TOC) structure, having a color filter formed on an array substrate with a thin-film transistor, and a method of fabricating the same. The fabricating method of a liquid crystal display device according to the present invention comprises steps of: forming a black matrix on a first substrate; forming a color filter on the first substrate having the black matrix; forming an overcoat layer on the first substrate having the color filter; forming a first buffer layer composed of a silicon nitrification film at the front surface of the first substrate having the overcoat layer; and forming an active layer in an Ireland shape, having a second buffer layer composed of a silicon nitrification film and oxide semiconductor. |
