<p>The method involves measuring temperature (T4) of exhaust gas downstream of a turbine (28) of a turbocompressor in a heat engine (10) using a temperature sensor (32). Air pressures (P1, P2) prevailing upstream and downstream of a compressor (14) are measured. Flow rate of burnt gas traversing the turbine is determined. Heat capacities of the burnt gas and air are determined. Temperature (T3) of the exhaust gas upstream of the turbine is determined based on the downstream gas temperature, power consumed by the compressor, the burnt gas flow rate, and the heat capacity of the burnt gas.</p> |
