本发明系有关于一种即时影像追踪方法，包括步骤：(A)输入一模板影像资讯与原图影像资讯；(B)使用一影像金字塔将该模板影像与原图影像缩放为数组不同大小的影像层级，该等影像层级依照该等影像大小依序排列；(C)进行该最小影像层级中该模板影像与原图影像之门槛位元图转换，用以分别取得该模板影像与原图影像的一平均值门槛位元图；(D)进行该模板影像与原图影像之平均值门槛位元图相似度匹配，藉此找出该模板影像于原图影像中之一匹配位置；(E)进行一下一影像层级之模板影像与原图影像之门槛位元图转换，并将上一层所取得的影像匹配中心区块对应至该下一影像层级的原图影像上，并由该匹配中心区块处扩张一范围，之后只针对该范围进行模板影像与该原图影像之平均值门槛位元图相似度匹配；(F)重复进行步骤(E)，直到影像层级为该等影像的原始大小层级，并以该层级之匹配为至作为匹配结果输出。藉此可以在该原图影像中找出和模板影像匹配的物件。; (B) zooming the images into a plurality of image size levels by using an image pyramid, and sorting image levels in accordance with image size; (C) respectively transforming a template image and an original image in a smallest image level into a mean threshold bitmap; (D) searching a match location between two mean threshold bitmaps; (E) respectively transforming a template image and an original image in next image level, finding an expand location in next image level, the location being based on the match location corresponding to an original image of next image level, and then searching a match location between two mean threshold bitmaps within the expand location; and (F) repeating the step (E) until reaching original size image level, and outputting a match location in this image level as a real match location.
