The invention relates to a method and a device for inserting a flat object (16) into a planar product (4) that includes two product parts (10, 10b) connected to one another at a connecting edge (11). The planar product (4) is introduced, by its connecting edge (11), into the pocket (1) of an opening device, said pocket (1) having two opposite pocket sides (2, 3). A first product part (10a) is retained on a first pocket side (2) by means of a retaining mechanism (8), and the second product part (10b) is moved towards the second pocket side (3) so that the product (4) is opened. |
