PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide foods for treating metabolic disorder which contain glucomannan, xanthan gum, and alginate.SOLUTION: The invention provides foods for treating metabolic disorder which contain glucomannan, xanthan gum, and alginate. The foods and supplements are used to delay development of at least one symptom of metabolic syndrome, type I diabetes mellitus, type II diabetes mellitus, pancreatic disease, or hyperlipidemia, to delay progression, and/or to recover. A mixture of glucomannan, xanthan gum, and alginate are analyzed using the standard method of carbohydrate analysis associated with acidolysis of polysaccharides and the subsequent chromatography separation. |
