<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning the inside surface of a pipe which enables smooth inserting of a cleaning member from a branched pipe into a main pipe. <P>SOLUTION: This cleaning method includes cleaning the inside surface of a water service pipe 1 by inserting a freely expandable cleaning ball 22 with a hollow part into the water service pipe 1 from a branched pipe 7. For procedures, the cleaning ball 22 is housed into an insertion cylinder 23 in such a state that the diameter of the cleaning ball 22 is reduced. Further, the insertion cylinder 23 is introduced into the pipe top part of the water service pipe 1 from the branched pipe 7, while the internal flow of the water service pipe 1 is shut off. After that, the cleaning ball 22 is pushed out into the water service pipe 1 from inside the insertion cylinder 23 and water is injected into the hollow part so that the cleaning ball 22 is diametrally expanded. Thus, the inside surface of the water service pipe 1 is cleaned with the procedure to transfer the cleaning ball 22 downstream inside the water service pipe 1 by letting water flow from the internal upstream side of the water service pipe 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
