<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, an authentication system, and an authentication program capable of reducing processing load at a time of synchronization of information used for authentication. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus 100 is connected to a management server 200 for managing apparatus users on the basis of user information and controls apparatus use of users on the basis of the user information. The apparatus 100 includes: acceptance means 11 for accepting a request for user authentication; determination means 14 for, in response to acceptance of a user request, determining whether an effective period of internal user information on a user who has requested for authentication, which is held by the own apparatus, expires; acquisition means 13 for, when it is determined the effective period has expired, acquiring external user information on the user who has requested for authentication from the management server 200; update means 12 for updating the internal user information on the basis of the acquired external user information; and control means 16 for, on the basis of the updated internal user information, controlling whether to give permission for the user who has requested for authentication to use the apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
