<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retreaded tire that can exhibit a superior durability in such a way that a volume of new tread rubber layer after being retreaded is sufficient while preventing a belt edge cover layer from being damaged due to buffing, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the retreaded tire, a pair of belt edge cover layers 14 embedded in a tread section 11 is provided so as to cover an edge section of belt layer 13 and a tread rubber layer 2 is pasted with respect to a platform tire 1 in which the tread section 11 is polished. In addition, protrusions 16 protruded from a reference arc in a tire meridian cross section for regulating a polished buff surface 15 are formed so as to extend in the tire circumferential direction at two locations in the tire width direction of the buff surface 15 of the platform tire 1 and these protrusions 16 are selectively arranged at locations overlapping the respective belt edge cover layers 14 and being apart from a buff end 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
