PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-alloy type high-purity ferritic stainless steel sheet improved in oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength through the addition of a trace amount of Sn, without reliance upon excessive alloying of Al and/or Si, which hamper manufacturability and welding properties, or upon the addition of scarce elements such as Nb, Mo, W or rare earths, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.
SOLUTION: The high-purity ferritic stainless steel sheet includes, expressed in terms of mass%, C: 0.001-0.03%, Si: 0.01-2%, Mn: 0.01-1.5%, P: 0.005-0.05%, S: 0.0001-0.01%, Cr: 16-30%, N: 0.001-0.3%, Al: >0.8-3%, and Sn: 0.01-1%, with the remainder being Fe and unavoidable impurities. A stainless steel slab having these steel components is heated to an extraction temperature of 1,100-1,250°C, and the winding temperature subsequent to completion of hot rolling is brought to 650°C or lower. Annealing of the hot-rolled sheet is carried out at 900-1,050°C, followed by cooling to a temperature zone of 550-850°C at 10°C/sec or less.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
|
