According to the optical communication system and optical communication abnormality-recovery method of the invention of the subject application, when an abnormality occurs in the transmission/reception of one wavelength of a station-side device of PON system, a subscriber device currently using a given wavelength to perform communications switches to another auxiliary wavelength that has been designated as wavelength to be used for communications. Moreover, the station-side device also switches wavelengths such that the station-side device uses the same auxiliary wavelength as the subscriber device to perform communications. |
