摘要 <p>The invention relates to an optically-adjustable interferometer of the Fabry-Perot type which may be used for light-induced demultiplexing of optical beams, controlling the optical beams, optically-activated filters, optically-induced conversion of multimodal laser beams into monomodal beams, increasing the resolution in spectrometers, videotransmissions. According to the invention, the interferometer comprises two strongly-reflecting mirrors (M1 and M2) containing a thin dielectric film comprising a complex with nonlinear optical properties based on deoxyribonucleic acid doped with a photoisomerizable chromophore compound. The interferometer allows the adjustment of the optical transmission by lighting the chromophore-containing film with a beam of light (I) at a frequency within the range of its absorption band and which produces the conformational modification of the chromophore molecule, said modification determining the shift of the chromophore absorption band and, in consequence, modifying the film refractive index; the light-induced refractive index modifies the interferometer transmission for the incident beam (I), and the frequency of operation is situated in the transparency range of the material with nonlinear optical properties depending on the utilized chromophore as well.</p>
