The present invention relates to polyamic acid, polyimide, and a display device formed from the same. The polyamic acid includes: 4,4′-(4,4′-isopropylidene diphenoxy)bisphthalic anhydride(HBDA), biphenyltetracarboxylic acid dianhydride (BPDA) and 2-bis(3,4-dicarboxyphenyl) propane hexafluoropropane dianhydride(6FDA) hexafluoropropane dianhydride as dianhydride; and methyl bis-trifluoromethylbenzidine (TFDB) as diamine. Therefore, the polyamic acid is colorless and transparent when forming a film, and has a low birefringence rate and excellent heat resistance and excellent mechanical properties. Accordingly, the polyamic acid is useful as a material for an image display device. |
