摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for more accurately calculating coverage of an outermost layer of catalyst fine particles for center particles than before, and a catalyst fine particle evaluation method applying the calculation method.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for calculating the coverage of the outermost layer for the center particles in the catalyst fine particles comprising the center particles and the outermost layer covering the center particles. The coverage calculation method includes the steps of: preparing the catalyst fine particles; calculating an electrochemical surface area of the catalyst fine particle; performing oxygen-reducing reaction measurement for the catalyst fine particle and calculating an amount of hydrogen peroxide generated through the measurement; and calculating the coverage from the electrochemical surface area value and the generation amount value of hydrogen peroxide.
