PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation film that prevents blocking and shows high alignment performance.SOLUTION: A retardation film 1 includes a substrate 11, an alignment layer 12, and a retardation layer 13, successively layered, in which the retardation layer 13 formed on a surface has a surface roughness Ra of 3 nm or more and 500 nm or less. The retardation film 1 contains a liquid crystal composition comprising a liquid crystal compound and an antiblocking agent in the retardation layer 13. The antiblocking agent has an aggregation diameter of 100 nm or more and 1800 nm or less. Otherwise, the retardation film contains an alignment layer composition comprising an antiblocking agent in the alignment layer 12, in which the antiblocking agent has an aggregation diameter of 100 nm or more and 1800 nm or less. |
