PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for monitoring the status of asynchronous communication messages to avoid duplication of effort in responding to the asynchronous communication messages.SOLUTION: A system and method for mediating the routing of an asynchronous message includes steps of: routing the asynchronous message to a first recipient; determining whether the first recipient has opened the asynchronous message; and re-routing the asynchronous message to a second recipient who is qualified to receive and respond to the message if the first recipient fails to open the message (i.e., read, listen, display, or act upon the message). |
