The invention relates to a biocomposite for nervous conduits based on polyvinyl alcohol and collagen, necessary for the regeneration of peripheral nerves, and to a process for obtaining the same. According to the invention, the nervous conduits are presented as tubular membranes having a wall thickness in the range of 0.1...0.3 mm or of 0.05...0.2 mm, depending on the collagen type to be used and the components association ratio. The process for obtaining the biocomposite consists in preparing and conditioning the biocomposite membranes from a 10% solution of polyvinyl alcohol and non-denaturated collagen in a ratio of 1:1 or a 10% polyvinyl alcohol solution and a 10% collagen hydrolysate solution, after which the membranes are reticulated, are successively washed with a solution of sodium chloride and water, are cut into pieces, moisturized, rolled on teflon bars, oven dried and sterilized with UV radiation. |
