Abstract A gaming machine (10) and a gaming system (100) is described. Gaming machines (10) may be reserved by operating a button panel (114). In certain embodiments the reserved gaming machine (10) or a head system (136) causes the printing of a ticket (11 0A) and 5 when that ticket is read by a bill acceptor (110), the gaming machine unlocks.
