PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system which reduces load of a network and is capable of performing printing-out even when a user mistakenly logs in to a different group.SOLUTION: In the case where a print job D1 transmitted on the basis of a job issuance operation of a user X is stored in an image forming apparatus 2a of a group GP1, but the user X logs in to an image forming apparatus 2d of a different group GP2, the image forming apparatus 2d specifies the transmission destination group GP1 to which the print job D1 is transmitted, and transmits an inquiry D3 to each of a plurality of image forming apparatuses 2a, 2b, and 2c included in the transmission destination group GP1, for inquiring whether or not it holds the print job D1. The image forming apparatus 2d does not transmit the inquiry D3 to image forming apparatuses 2e to 2i included in different groups GP2 and GP3 while specifying the image forming apparatus 2a on the basis of the result of a reply from the group GP1 and acquiring the print job D1. |
