<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction transmission belt and which has high transmission performance, which is excellent in sounding resistance, flexion fatigue resistance, and wearing resistance. <P>SOLUTION: Ethylene-α-olefine elastomer containing 50 to 65 wt.% of ethylene and staple fiber 4 for reinforcement are blended in the rubber composition used for forming the compressed rubber layer 1 of the friction transmission belt. The wt.% of the ethylene-α-olefine elastomer excepting the staple fiber 4 for reinforcement in the rubber composition is 45 to 60% and 5 to 50 pts.wt. of the staple fiber 4 for reinforcement is blended based on 100 pts.wt of the ethylene-α-olefine elastomer. The staple fiber 4 for reinforcement is contained in the compressed rubber layer 1 while being oriented in the width direction of the belt and the loss tangent tanδat 0 to 120°C obtained by measuring dynamic viscoelasticity in the direction perpendicular to the orientation direction of the staple fiber 4 for reinforcement in the rubber layer constituting the compressed rubber layer 1 is 0.1 to 0.2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
