<p>A terminal for connecting to a website through an IP network is provided. The terminal includes a domain name system (DNS) query unit configured to perform a DNS query to a DNS server for at least one preset host name to obtain IP address information corresponding to the at least one host name; a cache memory configured to store IP address information obtained by the DNS query unit; and a control unit configured to when a website connection request through an input of a host name is received from a user, identify whether there is IP address information corresponding to the input host name in the cache memory, and when it is identified that there is IP address information corresponding to the input host name in the cache memory, control to connect to the website using the IP address information stored in the cache memory.</p> |
