PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a molded solid acid which suppresses prime costs by using a woody raw material, avoids deterioration of the catalytic performance due to coating of a binder by heat-treating the synthetic resin binder itself, together with the woody raw material, and has a high degree of freedom of shape design and an appropriate hardness.SOLUTION: A method of producing a synthetic resin binder molded solid acid includes a raw material kneading step (S10) of kneading powder of a woody raw material M with a synthetic resin binder B to obtain a woody raw material kneaded product, a molding step (S20) of molding the woody raw material kneaded product into a specified shape to obtain a raw material molding, a heat treatment step (S30) of heat-treating the raw material molding in an inert atmosphere to obtain a heat-treated molding and a sulfonation step (S40) of introducing sulfo groups into the heat-treated molding to obtain a molded solid acid. |
