PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction receiving apparatus for a shield machine applicable easily to concrete segments.SOLUTION: A reaction receiving apparatus 100 comprises: a first member 110 which is disposed on a front end face of a forefront large-diameter segment 53a of existing large-diameter segments 53 and protrudes inward in a tunnel relative to the large-diameter segment 53a; a second member 120 which is disposed posterior to the first member 110 and interior in the tunnel to the existing large-diameter segments 53 and acts as a reaction receiver of a slave shield machine 3; and a plurality of rod- or wire-shaped third members 130 which are disposed interior in the tunnel to the existing large-diameter segments 53 and spaced in the tunnel circumferential direction and connect the first member 110 and the second member 120. The first member 110 is fixed to an inner surface of a tail frame 24 of a master shield machine 2.
