<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor which further improves its performance of separating lubricating oil, suppresses the oil circulating rate of the lubricating oil to be circulated to the side of a refrigerating cycle to improve system efficiency, and surely prevents the event that the compressor gets into a shortage of the lubricating oil. <P>SOLUTION: On the lower face of a rotor 6 of an electric motor 4 located above a discharge chamber 26, a cylindrical flow straightening member 50 is provided extending toward the discharge chamber 26 on the lower side.
