The invention relates to a method for transmitting data for use in a vehicle, which involves – a user request for the transmission and reproduction of desired data (DAT) from a first source (Q1) by means of a mobile radio link (MV) being taken as a basis for ascertaining whether the desired data (DAT) are also provided by a second source (Q2) independently of the mobile radio link (MV), – the desired data (DAT) being received in the vehicle from the second source (Q2) for reproduction for a user if the desired data (DAT) are also provided by the second source (Q2) independently of the mobile radio link (MV).
