<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, method, and program for capturing microscopic images, which allow for reducing the size and weight of the device and for easily switching between different image capturing methods.SOLUTION: During sectioning observation or normal observation, an object S under measurement is irradiated with patterned measurement light or uniform measurement light, respectively, produced by a light modulation element 112. The patterned measurement light and the uniform measurement light are irradiated on the object S under measurement through a common light path. A light receiving unit 120 receives light from the object S under measurement and outputs a light reception signal that represents received light intensity. During sectioning observation, a spatial phase of a pattern is sequentially shifted on the object S under measurement by predetermined increments by the light modulation element 112, and sectioning image data representing an image of the object S under measurement is generated based on a plurality of sets of image data generated at a plurality of phases of the pattern using the light reception signal. During normal observation, normal image data representing an image of the object S under measurement is generated using the light reception signal.</p> |
