receiving, by a second communications device, a video call request sent by a first communications device, wherein the video call request carries media capability information of the first communications device; determining whether media capability information of the second communications device matches the media capability information of the first communications device; constructing a Session Description Protocol (SDP) answer message when the media capability information of the second communications device does not match the media capability information of the first communications device and the media capability information of the second communications device and the media capability information of the first communications device comprise a same audio calling frequency, wherein content of a video support field of the SDP answer message is empty, and an audio support field of the SDP answer message is the same audio calling frequency; and sending the SDP answer message to the first communications device, so that the first communications device and the second communications device transmit video data. |
