PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the strength of a bottom surface of an image reading part and to suppress occurrence of a paper jam while discharging a paper sheet to a paper sheet discharge tray provided in between the image reading part and an image forming part.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 has an image reading part 20 and an image forming part 30. The image forming part 30 is disposed under the image reading part 20. The image forming part 30 is constructed in such a manner that it has a space 51 for providing a paper sheet discharge tray 50 between itself and the image reading part 20. The bottom surface 23 of the image reading part 20 has a plurality of first ribs 24 formed in a direction along the paper sheet discharge direction 91, and does not have other ribs than the first ribs 24. The first ribs 24 are provided from a position in the paper sheet discharge direction 91 at the upstream side of a position where a paper sheet discharged from the image forming part 30 can come into contact first with the bottom surface 23, to a position near the edge of the bottom surface 23 at the downstream side. |
