<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device with a disconnection detection and notification function in serial communication using four communication lines.SOLUTION: The communication device includes two transmission terminals and two reception terminals and executes communication in such a communication standard that, at a transmission side, mutually inverted data are transmitted in series to the two transmission terminals and at a reception side, the inverted serial data are received in the two reception terminals. The communication device includes: a pull-up resistor that pulls up the two reception terminals if there is no data in the reception terminals; a detection part for detecting occurrence of disconnection if both the two reception terminals are high (H) during the communication or if one reception terminal iteratively becomes high (H) and low (L) but the other reception terminal is kept high (H); and a notification part in which, if the disconnection is detected by the detection part, both the two transmission terminals are made low (L) for a predetermined period to report the detection of the disconnection to a partner of the communication.</p> |
