<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that recovers fine particles of a mold release agent (wax dust) generated from the fixing device without requiring a cleaning web, so as to alleviate the adhesion and deposition of the fine particles to sheet conveying means arranged in the vicinity of the fixing device and suppress the occurrence of image defects caused by the fine particles of the mold release agent.SOLUTION: When there is an extended distance between sheets, such as at the adjustment during a print job, or during a period from when the last sheet passes through a fixing device until when an image forming apparatus returns to a standby state, an air blowing device for cooling a fixing member and a heat exhausting device for exhausting the warm air generated in the fixing device are operated.</p> |
