<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe thrips repellent active agent. <P>SOLUTION: It is found that a new specific variety of Petunia Juss among Petunia flowering plants belonging to Solanaceae Petunia gathers no thrips, and based on the findings, a method of preventing thrips is developed. In the method of preventing thrips, thrips can be prevented when a solution, which is obtained by adding water to a Petunia extract and fermentatively degrading it fully, is sprayed to a tree so that the whole of the tree has Petunia-like properties. The novel fermentation solution of the new variety of Petunia Juss is produced by preparing, for the fermentative degradation, a strong enzyme capable of easily degrading the whole of the Petunia, and then, promoting fermentation in water using the enzyme so that complete fermentation proceeds as soon as possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
