The present invention provides an image processing device, an image display device, an electronic device, and an image processing method, which can reduce power consumption. According to the present invention, the image processing device includes a conversion processing part and a signal processing part. To the conversion processing part, first color information is inputted as a first input signal, wherein the first color information is obtained from an input image signal corresponding to red, green, and blue components and is displayed on pixels as a first color. Then, the conversion processing part performs the following procedures: specifying the saturation of the first color; obtaining a luminance attenuation rate corresponding to the first color information based on the saturation of the first color and on a relation between the pre-stored saturation and luminance attenuation rates; and outputting a second input signal including second color information wherein luminance is reduced from the first color information based on the luminance attenuation rate corresponding to the first color information. The signal processing part outputs an output signal for controlling the operation of the pixels based on the second input signal. |
