<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer set, nucleic acid probe and assay kit including them for β-actin gene, and to provide a method for detecting the β-actin gene using them. <P>SOLUTION: The primer set containing an FIP primer, F3 primer, BIP primer and B3 primer each containing at least one polynucleotide selected from the group consisting of polynucleotides represented respectively by specific sequences and complementary sequences thereof, is provided.
