<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for preventing a lid from being opened by a careless handle operation in the state that a pressure inside a chamber is high, in a steam sterilizer configured such that the lid for opening and closing a vertical chamber opened on the upper surface of a body portion is opened and closed vertically by the rotation of a handle shaft helically coupled vertically movably to an arm whose one end is laterally turnably supported on the upper surface of the body portion. <P>SOLUTION: The steam sterilizer includes a lock solenoid device for blocking the rotation of a handle by the projection of a lock pin to project when not being energized and to be withdrawn when energized, and handle rotation angle detection means. In the state that the rotation angle detection means detects that the handle is rotated for a predetermined angle in the direction of compressing annular packing, the lid is maintained while tightly closing a chamber opening by non-energizing of the lock solenoid device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
