An AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) pixel driving circuit and a driving method thereof, and an array substrate. The AMOLED pixel driving circuit comprises: a driving thin film transistor (T1); a gate initial voltage writing module (T2) for writing an initial voltage signal into the gate of the driving thin film transistor (T1), the first end of a storage capacitor (C1) and the second end of a coupling capacitor (C2); a data voltage writing module (T3) for writing a data voltage signal into the source of the driving thin film transistor (T1); a saturated discharge module (T4) for connecting or disconnecting the first end of the coupling capacitor (C2) with the drain of the driving thin film transistor (T1); an initialization module (T5) for connecting or disconnecting the source of the driving thin film transistor (T1) with a second power supply (Vss); a light emitting control module (T6) for connecting or disconnecting one end of an organic light emitting diode (D1) with the drain of the driving thin film transistor (T1); the storage capacitor (C1); the coupling capacitor (C2); and the organic light emitting diode (D1). The AMOLED pixel driving circuit and the driving method thereof can achieve the purpose of sub-threshold saturated cutoff and compensation for the threshold voltage of the driving thin film transistor (T1).
